Welcome to Nalma

My name is Jos Lommerse, the founder of Nalma. Mathematical modeling and analyses in the life sciences are part of my DNA. My professional journey began in Chemical Engineering, where I conducted simulations of industrial processes, followed by a PhD in biochemistry focusing on the use of molecular dynamics to study the flexibility of biopolymer chains. After starting my career in the pharmaceutical industry about 25 years ago, I developed new molecular entities using Structure-Based Drug Design techniques and virtual combinatorial chemistry. This journey ultimately led me to the dynamic field of Pharmacometrics (PMx), where I am excited to apply my expertise to new projects!

Mission

My goal is to ease your pharmacometrics work and efforts in drug development programs as an independent specialist. This includes summarizing your data with mathematical models that account for underlying biological factors. These models can be utilized for simulations or transformed into user-friendly R-Shiny apps, facilitating faster and better-informed decision-making.
